21st installment of PM Kisan
Pm kisan 21st installment date: Crores of farmer families across the country are eagerly waiting for the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) Scheme. Like every time, this time also the money was expected to come into the account on time, but the wait is becoming longer. Now this question is bound to arise in the mind of the common farmer that why is the money stuck?
Why was the 21st installment stopped?
21st installment of PM Kisan Yojana In view of the confusion and many misinformation spread among the farmers regarding the delay, the Central Government itself has clarified the situation. The statement issued by the government on its official website explains the real reason for this entire delay.
The government has revealed that lakhs of farmers had also registered for the scheme, who were not eligible under the existing guidelines. All these wrong applications have now been marked as ‘Suspicious’. According to reports, several lakh farmers across the country had enrolled for the PM Kisan Yojana in violation of the prescribed guidelines. The government clearly says that the installment will not be released until this nationwide investigation process is completed.
Lakhs of names were removed due to these mistakes
According to the clarification issued by the government, many of the cases involved people who had purchased land after the cut-off date of the scheme (February 1, 2019), and were availing the benefits. Apart from this, the biggest error found is related to the definition of ‘family’. Under the rules of the scheme, a family (comprising husband, wife and minor children) is considered as a single beneficiary unit and can get the benefit of Rs 6000 annually. But investigation found that in many cases, multiple members of the same family, such as both husband and wife, or elder members of the family and even minor children, were availing the benefits of the scheme simultaneously by posing as separate beneficiaries.
The government gave a relief
The Central Government has considered such activities as a gross violation of the rules of the scheme. Due to this, a national level ‘cleanup drive’ has been launched. This campaign is going on on a very large scale. According to reports, under this intensive investigation campaign, so far more than 35.44 lakh names have been removed from the list of PM Kisan beneficiaries. This is a very large number and due to this intensive investigation, the 21st installment has been put on hold for the time being.
However, amidst all this strictness, there is a matter of relief also hidden in the government’s announcement. The Central Government has also made it clear that the removal of names from the list of PM Kisan beneficiaries is temporary and not permanent. That is, the farmers whose names have come under the purview of this investigation or have been removed from the list, need to understand the process.
When will the 21st installment money arrive?
Now the biggest question is when will the 21st installment (PM Kisan 21st Instalment) arrive? The government has not yet announced any official date for the release of the installment. It has been clearly stated in the reports that the installment will be released only when this nationwide verification process is completed. According to initial estimates, after this entire process, about 50 lakh farmers may be declared ineligible. At the same time, according to media reports, the money can come into the account by the end of this month.
