Dr. Umar Nabi, the mastermind of the i20 car blast near the Red Fort, was terrified by the raids of November 8-10 in Faridabad. The investigation revealed a white-collar terrorist module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, in which a huge quantity of explosives were recovered.
Delhi Car Blast Updates: Dr. Umar Nabi was extremely nervous due to the raids conducted by security agencies in Faridabad, Haryana between 8 and 10 November. In this panic and frustration, he blasted an explosive-laden i20 car near the Red Fort on Monday, 10 November. However, the unraveling of this white-collar terrorist module had started from October 19 itself, when Jammu and Kashmir Police took action against some suspects after finding objectionable posters of Jaish-e-Mohammed.
How was the white collar terrorist module exposed?
On October 19, Jammu and Kashmir Police found some objectionable posters of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Srinagar and Naugam. Shortly thereafter, Maulvi Irfan Ahmed and Zameer Ahmed were arrested. On 5 November, another suspect, Dr Adeel Ahmed, was arrested from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

After this, on November 8, AK-56 rifles and explosives were recovered from a hospital in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. During interrogation, information about other people in this module was also found. After this, Dr. Muzammil was arrested from Al-Falah Medical College. 2563 kg explosives found from Imam’s house
On November 10, 2563 kg of explosives were seized from the house of Imam Hafiz Mohammad Ishtiaq of Al-Falah Mosque located in Dhera Colony, Mewat. Later the police also recovered 358 kg of explosive material, detonators and timers from the nearby premises. A total of 3,000 kg of ammonium nitrate, which is used in bomb making, was seized. However, Umar Nabi had got wind of this action and he was running here and there to save himself.
Umar Un Nabi got scared by the raid
Due to the increasing pressure after the raids conducted by security agencies at many places in Delhi-NCR and Pulwama and the recovery of huge quantity of explosives, Umar Nabi took a hasty step and either blew up the i20 car at Subhash crossing signal near Red Fort or detonated it in haste. Investigators suspect that Dr. Omar may have caused the explosion either intentionally or accidentally out of fear of being caught. However, this will become clear only after investigation. Experts believe that the bomb kept in the car had exploded prematurely and was not fully developed, hence its effect was less.
Jaish and Ansar terrorists were in contact with Ghazwat-ul-Hind
Officials said that the action taken on the terrorist module foiled a huge terrorist conspiracy, otherwise the terrorists were planning to carry out bomb blasts across India. The ‘white collar terrorist module’ that was busted had links with Pakistani terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH). Foreign handlers were operating this module from Pakistan and other Gulf countries.
