South superstar Rishabh Shetty’s film Kantara Chapter 1 created a stir in theaters this year. The film did well at the box office and went ahead, beating the collections of Vicky Kaushal’s film Chhaava. Although this Kannada language film has already been streamed on OTT in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, but now information about its release in Hindi also has come to light. Hindi fans are very happy to know the update of the film.

When will Kantara Chapter 1 be released on OTT in Hindi?

Writer-director Rishabh Shetty’s film Kantara Chapter 1 was released on Amazon Prime Video two weeks ago, but there was no option to watch the Hindi version. Actually, there is a window rule of 8 weeks for the OTT release of films in Hindi. This means that the film can be released on OTT only 8 weeks after its release in theatres. However, now preparations are on to release the movie on OTT. Amazon Prime Video sources say that the film will stream on November 27. Let us tell you that the film was released in theaters on the day of Dussehra i.e. 2nd October. Along with Rishabh, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah, Hariprashant, Pramod Shetty, Rakesh Pujari, Deepak Rai Panaje, Mime Ramdas, Naveen D Padil are in lead roles. The music of the film has been composed by Ajneesh Loknath.

Kantara Chapter 1 box office collection

Kantara Chapter 1 is a prequel to the 2022 film Kantara. The film did well at the box office upon its release. The movie opened its account with Rs 61.85 crore on the first day. The film had earned Rs 46 crore on the second day. Its earning on the third day was Rs 55 crore. According to Sacnilk, this film, made with a budget of Rs 125 crore, made a net collection of Rs 618.73 crore at the Indian box office in 41 days. Its gross collection was Rs 737.28 crore. The movie did a business of Rs 10.5 crore in overseas. At the same time, it has done a business of Rs 848.15 crore worldwide. It became the biggest film of 2025 by defeating Vicky Kaushal’s Chavaa.
