National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Monday held “constructive and forward-looking” talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, focusing on a predictable and stable relationship between India and China.
Wang is in New Delhi to attend the BRICS National Security Advisors’ meeting.
In the meeting, Doval and Wang also reviewed the overall situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
“The two sides reviewed recent developments in bilateral relations and noted progress towards gradual normalisation,” External Affairs Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said.
“NSA Doval underlined that stable, predictable and constructive bilateral relations contribute to building of trust and better understanding between the two sides,” he said.
Jaiswal said the Doval-Wang discussions were “constructive and forward-looking.”
