Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 concluded with its winner actor-anchor Anumol on November 9. Anumol’s journey inside BBM7 was a rollercoaster ride, filled with personal revelations and controversial allegations of a Rs 16 lakh PR campaign.
During her stint, serious allegations were made against her of having solid PR backup from fellow contestants. During a task, her co-contestant Binny claimed that Anumol had revealed that her public relations team was working for her outside the show. Binny also shared that the anchor had a deal with the PR team worth Rs 16 lakh. Since then, these claims created a buzz online, with fans and former contestants criticising Anumol’s victory. BBMS7 winner Anumol recently reacted to PR allegations, stating that she didn’t have that kind of money and that she had worked hard to win.
BBM7 Winner Anumol On Rs 16 Lakh PR Claims
After her victory, Anumol addressed the controversial PR claims. She told Asianet, “Many people are saying that I won this title spending Rs 16 lakh on various PR teams. That’s not true. I don’t have that kind of money. I was informed about this PR aspect just before entering the show. I was told that everyone who participates in Bigg Boss has PR support. So, I got a bit scared as I had never thought of that.”
Further denying the allegations, she stated, “So I got the contact of one such PR person and asked them the price. They told me Rs 15 lakh. But I didn’t choose that and went for the Rs 1 lakh option. I paid Rs 50,000 as an advance, and the rest 50,000 I will be paying now since I won the title. I have no idea who started this story about the Rs 16 lakh PR payment. This is the only truth.”
Citing her difficult journey, Anumol admitted that she did have PR assistance, but mentioned that she doesn’t have Rs 15 or 16 lakh to pay for a PR campaign. She added, “I really worked hard for this trophy. I have suffered so much in that house. Bigg Boss is always watching me, right? I have no issue admitting that I do have PR assistance, like every other contestant on the show. But I don’t have Rs 15 or 16 lakh in my hand to pay for a PR campaign. If that was the case, I would not have even come to participate in this program.”
Anumol was declared the winner of Bigg Boss Malayalam season 7 during the grand finale of the show. She competed with the commoner Aneesh, who emerged as the first runner-up, while Shanavas, Nevin, and Akbar secured the third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively. She took home the trophy and cash prize of Rs 42.5 lakh.
