Is it auspicious or inauspicious to keep small animals and birds in your house? This question keeps arising in the mind many times. When the famous astrologer and architect Dr. Basavaraj Guruji was asked about this, he replied. Guruji says that since ancient times, many people have been keeping birds in cages, but many people are confused about whether it is auspicious or inauspicious for everyone. Many times it also happens that if something happens to the birds and animals like fish, turtle, dog, parrot or pigeon growing in their homes, then people remain worried about whether this is an inauspicious sign?

Basavaraj Guruji said that when humans are kept in captivity, even if they are given food, it is a punishment for taking away their freedom. At the same time, what crime have the animals and birds committed? It is not right to take away their freedom. It is not auspicious to keep birds in cages. There is no problem in rearing animals without cages. But keeping them confined within a certain limit, in a cage, is inauspicious in a way.

He said that earth, air and water have all been gifted to us by God. These are not anyone’s property. Since God has given these, which are part of nature, to all living beings equally, every living being has the right to live freely in this world. We divide organisms into three categories: terrestrial (humans, animals living on land), aquatic (fish, crocodiles living in water) and aquatic (birds). Keeping air birds in cages and rearing them is not very auspicious. This can disturb the peace of homes.

Mother Sita was cursed with this curse

Guruji told that as described in the Puranas, Mother Sita had locked a female parrot in a cage while playing in her childhood and the male parrot had cursed that you too would have to get separated from your husband. As a result, Shri Ram had to go into exile. This is an example of the inauspicious effect of keeping birds in cages. Therefore, it is not auspicious to keep birds in cages permanently in homes. They should be allowed to live freely. If a cage is used, it should always be kept open so that the birds can come and feed and then fly at will.
