Vote Chori Protest: Around 300 MPs of opposition parties protested against the Election Commission in Delhi, accusing them of vote theft. During this, Rahul Gandhi was detained. Priyanka Gandhi staged a sit -in sitting on the ground. Akhilesh Yadav climbed on the barricade.
Opposition mps protest: Leaders of opposition parties demonstrated against the Election Commission in Delhi on Monday. About 300 opposition MPs took out a march to the Election Commission office on the allegations of ‘vote theft’, which was stopped by the police on the way. During this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was detained. The situation became tense when the police stopped the protesting MPs by putting barricades by putting barricades. Several MPs, including SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, jumped and moved forward. TMC MP Mahua Moitra also climbed on the barricade.
MPs of opposition parties shouted slogans on barricade
Many MPs clashed with the police. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, Trinamool MPs Mahua Moitra and Sushmita Dev and Congress members Sanjana Jatav and Jothimani climbed on the barricade and raised slogans.

When the police stopped, MPs sat on the road
The march started near Parliament House and moved towards the Election Commission Headquarters, Election House. MPs raised their voice against the government and the Election Commission by holding placards written slogans like “theft of democratic rights” and “vote theft”. When the police stopped on the way, they sat on the road and continued their protest. Priyanka Gandhi staged a protest by sitting on the road.

Mahua Moitra and Mithali tiger fainted amidst the ruckus
Mahua Moitra and Mithali Tiger fainted two MPs of Trinamool Congress amidst the ruckus, slogans, custody and dharna. Fellow leaders were seen trying to bring them to consciousness by giving them water. Mithali was rushed to the hospital.

Rahul Gandhi and many other leaders taken into custody
Several opposition MPs, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha, were stopped and taken into custody in the middle of their protests. Other detained leaders included Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and his party’s ally Jairam Ramesh.

Rahul Gandhi said- the fight to save this constitution
On being taken into custody, Rahul Gandhi said, “This fight is not political, but to save the constitution. The truth is in front of the whole country.” Those participating in March included TR Baloo (DMK), Sanjay Raut (SS-UBT), Derek O Bryan (TMC), Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav, as well as other MPs of opposition parties like DMK, RJD, Left parties. The protests were held on the allegations of voter fraud in the special intensive revision of Bihar’s voter list and in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
