The final match of Pro Kabaddi League 2025 was very exciting. Dabang Delhi won the trophy for the second time by defeating Puneri Paltan 31-28 in a tough match. With this victory, Delhi became the third team after Patna Pirates and Jaipur Pink Panthers to win two or more titles. On the other hand, coach Joginder Narwal also created history, as he became the second person after Manpreet Singh to win the trophy in both the roles of player and coach.
Dabang Delhi won in an exciting manner
There was a tough competition between the two teams right from the beginning of the match. For Delhi, Neeraj Narwal performed brilliantly and scored 9 points, while Ajinkya Pawar contributed 6 points. Even though star raider Ashu could score only 2 points, Delhi’s defense line did wonders and scored a total of 10 points. Fazal Atrachali was seen struggling throughout the match, but in the last moments, he ensured the team’s victory by dismissing Puneri’s Aditya Shinde (10 points).

Delhi started aggressively in the first half. Ashu was out in the initial raid itself and could not open the account for the first 10 minutes. Still, thanks to Neeraj, Delhi took the lead by all-out Puneri. By the end of the first quarter, Delhi was leading 8-6 and Puneri was under pressure for a super tackle. However, Puneri responded strongly after the break. In no time the score became 20-14 at halftime.
Puneri increased the pressure in the second half. Ashu was out for the third time and Puneri imposed a super tackle on Delhi. The score was 24-18 till 30 minutes. After the break, Delhi again got a super tackle, but Ashu opened the account with a bonus. Delhi took a lead of 8 points after Pankaj was out on a do or die raid. Aditya reduced Delhi to two players with a running hand touch and made the score 25-28 by giving all out. The excitement reached its peak in the last minutes. Neeraj took the lead to three from the bonus, but Aditya’s multi-point made the score 28-29. In the last moment, Fazal gave relief to Delhi by dismissing Aditya. A point on Ashu’s last raid gave Delhi a 31-28 victory.
won a prize worth so many crores
Dabang Delhi received prize money of Rs 3 crore for becoming the champion of Pro Kabaddi League 2025. Whereas, despite losing in the final, Puner Paltan was given Rs 1.8 crore. Whereas, Fazal Atrachali of Delhi was chosen the MVP player of the tournament. Raider of the season was Ayaan Lohkab and defender of the season was Navdeep.
