HCLTech bags multi-year deal from Volkswagen’s e.solutions for automotive software

IT company  on Wednesday (June 17) said it has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership with e.solutions, a Germany-based automotive software specialist and part of the Volkswagen Group, to develop next-generation software-defined infotainment and connectivity solutions.

Under the agreement, HCLTech will support the development of AI-enabled infotainment and connectivity platforms built on Android Automotive, catering to the growing demand for connected digital in-vehicle experiences.

The company will provide development, integration and validation services for production-grade human-machine interface (HMI) software across multiple vehicle programs. The engagement is aimed at enabling consistent deployment of infotainment and connectivity solutions across different hardware platforms and global markets.

e.solutions develops complex software for infotainment and communication within and from the car. The company designs frameworks, applications and graphical user interfaces for their customers and combines these with modules from their worldwide partner network.

Shares of HCL Technologies Ltd ended at ₹1,166.45, up by ₹7.10, or 0.61%, on the BSE.
