Naseem Bano was born on July 4, 1916, in Old Delhi as Roshan Ara Begum. Her mother aspired for her to become a doctor, but Naseem was drawn to the film industry. From a young age, she was inspired by films and actors. During a film shoot, she met the famous filmmaker Sohrab Modi, who offered her a role in his film. Initially, her mother declined, but Naseem’s determination won her over.

In 1935, Naseem Bano began her acting career with the film ‘Khoon Ka Khoon.’ She appeared in several films, but her breakthrough came in 1939 with ‘Pukar,’ where she portrayed the character Noor Jahan. Audiences adored her performance, and her beauty became widely discussed.
