‘Roaming with 3 Hindu wives’: Viral video shows actor Amir Khan together with his 2 ex-wives and girlfriend, sparks outrage

The video reportedly emerged from the 25th anniversary event for Khan’s production house and the Oscar-nominated film Lagaan, attended by stars like Shah Rukh Khan and AR Rahman. Khan, who divorced Reena Dutta in 2002 and Kiran Rao in 2021, shares children with both and has maintained friendly co-parenting ties, now planning a July 5 wedding with fiancée Gauri Spratt.

Amid this, several social media users highlighted Khan’s unconventional path in a spotlight-filled industry. “Aamir Khan had his two ex-wives and his soon-to-be new bride sit together on the back seat of the same car and got a video made. Reena, Kiran, and Gauri. Aamir has given many messages through the same video,” one of the users said.

“Amir Khan showing middle fingers to Hindus by parading his 3 Hindu wives together. First wife Reena Dutta, Second wife Kiran Rao & new wife Gauri Spratt together go with Aamir Khan for shopping. Legally, he shows he is separated but keeps them as wives,” another read.

“Dear Hindu girls, this is a beautiful video just for you. If you are willing to travel in the same car with two other wives of your husband, while the husband sits on the front seat, do marry into the community to which Aamir Khan belongs. Remember, if you are ever tempted, recall this video,” a third user on X wrote.

“Aamir Khan practices the worst kind of Islamist medieval practices and yet gets the certificate of being a ‘liberal’. Beats me,” a comment read.

However, many others also stated that Islam gives this act a legal and moral authority too. One of the users also stated that the event had nothing to do with Islam because Khan had legally divorced his earlier two wives before planning to marry the third one.

Unlike many high-profile celebrity weddings, Aamir and Gauri Spratt, who comes from a professional background in fashion, beauty and wellness, are reportedly opting for a private and meaningful ceremony rather than a lavish event. Filmfare reported that the couple will formalise their relationship through a registered marriage at home, surrounded by their families and a small circle of close friends.
