Don 3 Row: FWICE’s Ashoke Pandit Calls Ranveer Singh’s Exit A ‘Serious Matter’, Internal Meeting To Decide

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) is about to wade into the ongoing Don 3 row between Excel Entertainment’s  , who is also the director, and Ranveer Singh.

The Hindi sequel was announced back in 2023 and delayed several times due to delays in production and casting. However, it is alleged that the actor backed out of the film before the shoot began. FWICE to decide on Don 3 row after internal meeting

According to a few reports, President BN Tiwari, Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit, Honorary General Secretary Ashok Dubey and Treasurer Gangeshwarlal Shrivastav are meeting internally to look into the matter and make a formal decision after reviewing the dispute. In an interview with Bombay Times, Pandit called the situation a “very serious matter” and a wrong trend.

He added, “You can’t withdraw from a project 10 days before the shoot starts. We are having an internal meeting first, and then we are taking a call.” The producer was concerned about the impact this might have on the industry. He wanted to protect the film business, which would take a big hit if an artist walked out of a film at the nth moment. Pandit assured everyone that their decision would be in the interest of the industry. Reports suggest that the ruling could go against  .

More about the dispute between Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh

Earlier, the row had also gone to the Producers Guild of India, where members had tried to mediate between the makers and the actor. The production house Excel Entertainment is said to have invested a lot of money in pre-production for the action sequel before Ranveer left. Besides Ranveer, the female lead of Don 3 also changed. Kiara Advani left the film after she became pregnant and was replaced by Kriti Sanon.

Last month, a report in the Free Press Journal said that Ranveer would give back Rs 10 crore to Excel; however, the company wanted Rs 40 crore instead. The actor reportedly gave the producers a ‘stake’ in his next film, Pralay, which is yet to go on the floors. The impact of the decision could have an impact on future productions as well.
