Cocktail 2: Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna Film Clears CBFC Round With ‘A’ Certificate

The advance booking window for Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna’s  has opened. Directed by Homi Adajania, the film follows a complex relationship between Kunal, Ally and Diya as they navigate friendship and love. Cocktail 2 releases in theatres on June 19. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the film with an ‘A’ rated certificate. As per a ticketing app, Cocktail 2 has been granted an adult certificate, and the runtime of the film is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Cocktail 2 is ’s first A-rated film. For Shahid, it is his fifth adult film after O’ Romeo, Kabir Singh, Udta Punjab and Kaminey. Cocktail 2 is  ’s second A film after Animal. Details about the censor board’s edits and modifications suggested for the movie are undisclosed.

As the countdown has begun, Cocktail 2 will be having its grand premiere in Delhi. According to sources, it would be one of the biggest celebrity events happening in the national capital. Sources informed that the cast, Shahid, Kriti and Rashmika, along with the director Homi and producer Dinesh Vijan, will attend Cocktail 2’s premiere in Delhi. It is scheduled to take place on June 18. Since music is an important part of the film’s narrative, its singers and composers are expected to join the event.

A leaked synopsis of Cocktail 2 revealed that it is a modern look at love, friendship, and emotional entanglements. The spiritual sequel builds on the original’s exploration of relationships in a vibrant, contemporary world, following new characters through romance, conflict, and the ups and downs of connection.

According to reports, Shahid is said to be the highest-paid actor on board. His fee for Cocktail 2 is reportedly . On the other hand, Kriti and Rashmika, who play Ally and Diya in the film, are taking a paycheque of Rs 15 crore each.

Cocktail 2 is a musical romantic film. The makers started the promotions by introducing the characters of the film through songs. The first was Jab Talak, whereas the second one, titled Mashooqa, was picturised on Shahid and Kriti. The third track, Tujhko, featured Shahid with Rashmika and the recent fourth song is titled Vallah.
