The second Friday of June saw three Hindi films clashing at the box office. Chetna Pande and Mimoh Chakraborty’s Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past locked horns with Kangana Ranaut’s Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata and Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina and Sharvari’s Main Vaapas Aaunga. Interestingly, the Vikram Bhatt directorial has outshone the other two Bollywood releases at the box office. Post ‘s release, Zoom did an exclusive interview with Chetna Pande. The actress reacted to her horror film outperforming Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata and Main Vaapas Aaunga at the ticket window.

Speaking to us, said, “From Gangster to the kind of films she (Kangana) has done, including Tanu Weds Manu, I am a huge fan. I am literally a fan girl. First of all, when I got to know that her film is releasing with our film, I felt pressured. But at the same time, I feel happy because I have always got small opportunities in life.”

The actress further revealed why Haunted 3D doing better at the box office is a big deal for her. “Today it is a big deal for me (because) being an outsider and having no backup, I am still standing at the box office among such big stars like Sharvari, it is Imtiaz sir and Diljit’s (Dosanjh) film. It feels emotional,” the actress mentioned.
She continued to say that her film has done well because of God’s grace and love from fans. The actress considers this moment to be both emotional and happy. “The pain that I’ve gone through all these years, it’s just the blessings coming back to me,” she added.
How much did Haunted 3D earn at box office?
According to Sacnilk, Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past registered a box office opening of Rs 2.50 crore. It was followed by the film earning Rs 3.25 crore on day two and Rs 3.60 crore at the ticket window. After three days of its theatrical run, the movie minted Rs 9.36 crore. As for Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, the Kangana Ranaut-starrer managed to collect only Rs 4.25 crore at the box office.
