India are currently taking on Australia in the final ODI of the three-match series at the Sydney Cricket Ground. This match is in all probabilty the last time that Rohit Sharma is playing an international match in Australia, with his career entering its twilight.
However, he has continued the form that he showed in the second ODI in Adelaide, and managed to notch up his second consecutive half-century, with India chasing 237 to win. In this innings, Rohit has managed to break a major world record.
As Rohit Sharma brought up his 60th half-century, he hit Adam Zampa for a beautiful six with an inside out shot over extra cover. With this six, Rohit has hit 93 sixes in SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) in ODIs. This is now the most number of sixes that a visiting batter has hit in SENA countries in the 50-over format. He breaks the record of West Indies legend Chris Gayle.
