India Semi-Final Fixture in Women’s World Cup: Team India became the fourth and last team to reach the semi-finals of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. Indian women’s team booked the semi-final ticket by defeating New Zealand by 53 runs under Duckworth-Lewis rule in the match played in Navi Mumbai on 23 October. Apart from India, Australia, South Africa and England were the remaining three teams to qualify for the semi-finals. Well, the interesting thing is that those are the same 3 teams, to whom Team India has lost its 3 consecutive matches in the group stage. But, who will face which team in the semi-finals? Who will challenge Team India in the semi-finals of the Women’s World Cup 2025?
Team India’s position is not going to change
If we look at the points table, after playing 6-6 matches, the Australian team is on top with 11 points. Whereas South Africa is at second position after collecting 10 points in 6 matches. England is in third place, with 9 points from 6 matches. The Indian team is the last team to get a place in the top four i.e. semi-finals by scoring 6 points in 6 matches.
Despite making it to the semi-finals, all these teams still have to play 1-1 more matches in the group stage. Australia and South Africa will face each other in the last group match. Whereas England will face the challenge of New Zealand. While the Indian team will compete against Bangladesh. Now even if Team India wins its matches, its position is not going to change. Because, even after victory over Bangladesh, it will have only 8 points and will remain at number 4. But, changes may be seen in the top 3 positions.
Competition to become number 1 in Australia-South Africa
If Australia defeats South Africa in its last group match, it will remain at number one with 13 points. But, defeat from South Africa will push it to second place. Because with victory, South Africa will get 12 points. However, there is little hope that this will happen. This is because South Africa’s women’s cricket team has been able to defeat Australia only once in the 18 ODI matches played so far. He has faced defeat 16 times. While 1 match remained inconclusive.
As far as England is concerned, it will also have a chance to reach second place. If they defeat New Zealand in their last group match of the Women’s World Cup, they will have 11 points. And then she will go to another place. But, for this to happen, South Africa will also have to lose to Australia. If South Africa does not lose, then England will remain at its current position number 3, whether they win or lose to New Zealand.
Semi-final schedule, who will Team India face?

The first semi-final of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 is to be held on October 29 in Guwahati, in which Team India is scheduled to play. In the second semi-final of the tournament, there will be a contest between the teams ranked second and third in the points table. The second semi-final of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 is to be played at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
