Big decision of CM Yogi: There will be more than 1000 new posts in UP Fire Service, fire post will be built every 100 km.

CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to make UP Fire Service modern and sensitive. Special units will be formed in every region, there will be a fire post every 100 km on the expressway and more than 1000 new posts will be created.

Lucknow, October 23: Now the fire service in Uttar Pradesh will be made more modern and stronger. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in view of the increasing population, industrial development and rapid urbanization, the need of the hour is to strengthen the structure of the fire department. He said that the fire service will no longer be limited to extinguishing fires only, but will be linked with disaster management, rescue operations and emergency services. The Chief Minister was holding a review meeting of the fire department on Thursday.

Specialized units will be made in every region

CM Yogi directed the officials to create specialized units in every region, which will be capable of dealing with chemical, biological and radiological accidents. Apart from this, relief and rescue work can be done immediately even in situations like super high rise buildings. The Chief Minister said that the fire service should be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and trained manpower, so that immediate action can be taken in case of any emergency.

Creation of more than 1000 new posts in fire department

While discussing the departmental cadre review in the meeting, the Chief Minister approved the creation of 98 new posts of gazetted cadre and about 922 new posts of non-gazetted cadre. These posts will provide new strength to the fire service at the district, regional and headquarters level. CM Yogi also said that account cadre should be created in every district, so that the administrative capacity and financial transparency of the department can increase.

Emphasis on training and research

The Chief Minister has given instructions to create additional posts in the State Fire Training College, so that the quality of training and research can be further improved. He said that with better training, the fire service team will be able to take fast and accurate action in any disaster.

Small fire post will be built every 100 kilometers

Expressing concern over the increasing accidents on the expressway, CM Yogi directed that a small fire post should be built every 100 km. Fire tenders and emergency teams will always be deployed in these posts, so that relief work can be started immediately after the accident during the golden hour.

Fire units are already active at many airports

Officials informed in the meeting that fire units have already been deployed at Kushinagar, Azamgarh, Shravasti, Kanpur Nagar, Ayodhya, Aligarh, Moradabad, Chitrakoot and Sonbhadra airports as new operational units.

Yogi Adityanath gave a clear message

The Chief Minister said that “Fire service is a department related to the safety of life and property of the public. Its structure should be such that it can give fast, efficient and responsive response in every situation.” He directed the officials that the restructuring of the department should be completed within the stipulated time frame, so that the public can get its benefits soon.
