At the heart of the FZ-S Fi Hybrid is a 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 12.4 hp of power at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The bike is E20 fuel compatible, meaning it can run on a petrol-ethanol blend of up to 20%.

The engine uses Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator (SMG) system, which provides a smoother start and extra torque when needed. The Stop & Start system automatically switches off the engine at traffic lights or long stops to save fuel, while the Assist function makes gear shifts smoother.

The motorcycle comes with a 5-speed gearbox and a fuel injection system. With a kerb weight of just 138 kg, it feels light and easy to handle, especially in city traffic.
