Air India Emergency Landing: Air India flight AI191, going from Mumbai to Newark, America, had to return to Mumbai on Wednesday morning due to a technical glitch. This Boeing 777 plane took off at around 1:50 am and landed safely in Mumbai after being in the air for more than three hours. Air India said that the pilot of the flight took this decision for the safety of everyone in view of the technical problem. At present the aircraft is being investigated.
There is no information yet about the number of passengers
Due to this, both flights AI191 (Mumbai to Newark) and AI144 (Newark to Mumbai) have been cancelled. The airline has made hotel arrangements for the passengers and they are being re-booked on alternative flights to Air India or other airlines. Passengers on flight AI144 in Newark have also been informed of the cancellation and will be provided with alternative arrangements soon. No information has been given yet about the number of passengers.
