According to trade website Sacnilk.com, Dude collected an estimated Rs 10 crore net in India on Monday, taking its total domestic earnings to Rs 40.75 crore. The film’s performance on its first Monday remained stable, helped by the Diwali holiday, though it did not show any major jump in numbers.
The film had opened with a solid Rs 9.75 crore on day one, followed by Rs 10.4 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.6 crore on Sunday, indicating consistent interest among audiences. Despite varied reviews, especially criticism aimed at the film’s second half, the movie has maintained strong word-of-mouth among younger viewers. It is performing particularly well in Tamil Nadu, though the Telugu version has seen comparatively moderate success. As per early estimates, Dude has crossed Rs 60 crore worldwide in its opening weekend.

On the occasion of Diwali, veteran actor Sarathkumar, who plays Minister Athiyamaan Azhagappan in the film, celebrated the festival by watching Dude in theatres with fans and the director. Sharing a photo from Kamala Cinemas, he wrote, “On the occasion of Deepavali, we—myself and director Keerthivasan—watched with joy the enthusiastic celebration by fans of the #Dude film, which is currently running successfully on screens, at Kamala Cinemas until the interval, and we were delighted to share Deepavali greetings with the fans.”
