Mumbai: One of the senior actors of the Bollywood industry, Anupam Kher always talks openly about his choices. In many interviews, Kher has talked about his principles and simplicity. In one such interview, Kher revealed that despite gaining so much fame in the industry, he still lives in a rented flat. The reason for this is their family bonding. Talking about his relationship with his brother Raju Kher, Anupam revealed that he has been managing his brother’s finances for years. He also praised his wife Kirron Kher’s understanding and support in this matter.
In a YouTube interview, Anupam spoke fondly about his brother Raju. “If all brothers remember how they were in childhood, there will be no further fights. I look at my life like a movie. How can I forget that we grew up together,” he said.
“I have to praise Kirron Kher. Because she never asked me, ‘Why do you spend so much on your brother?’ The problems start from there. I used to sign checks for Raju, house and other things. I had long ago told my manager, ‘Remember one thing in life, never ask how much money I am paying my brother.'”
Anupam has very deep family values. Love and justice are the basis of his thinking. Anupam says, “My brother has never been jealous of me even though I am more successful than him. He is amazing in this regard. My parents have lived with my brother and his wife more than they have lived with me. It hurts me a lot when I see brothers killing each other for property. This is also one of the reasons why I live in a rented house.”
Kher says that life has given him everything and he loves to share it with his near and dear ones. Bollywood actor Anupam Kher, who has worked in more than 540 films, is 70 years old. He does not have any biological child. Anupam and Kirron Kher, who got married in 1985, were initially friends but later they fell in love and got married. Still, he has said that not being able to see his children grow up is a loss. While talking on Raj Shamani’s podcast, he said, “The child in Kiran’s womb was not growing properly, so I had to have an abortion. I was very busy with big goals. I focused more on my career than my personal life.”
