East Bengal have emerged as the most creative side in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 season so far, topping the charts for chances created per match.
The defending ISL champions have netted 12 goals in their first three matches, which further demonstrates their attacking prowess this season.
East Bengal Top, Mohun Bagan Second
The Red and Gold Brigade have created 46 chances across three matches, averaging an impressive 15.33 chances per game. Their numbers put them ahead of arch-rivals Mohun Bagan Super Giant, who occupy second place with 75 chances from five matches at an average of 15 per game.
Chennaiyin FC complete the top three, having registered 68 chances in five outings, translating to 13.6 per match. Sporting Club Delhi are fourth with 50 chances from five games, averaging 10 per match.
Punjab FC follow with 10.25 chances per game, having created 41 opportunities in four matches. FC Goa, Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters FC are level next with 10 chances per match, each recording 40 chances across four outings.
NorthEast United FC, despite having created 42 chances in five matches, average 8.4 per game to sit ninth in the standings. Mumbai City FC are next with 7.5 chances per match, followed by Churchill Brothers SC (7.25) and Odisha FC (7).
Inter Kashi occupy Bottom Spot
Inter Kashi occupy the bottom position in the standings, having created 22 chances in five matches, averaging 4.4 per game, as it reflects their bottom place in the points table as well.
East Bengal’s position at the summit is particularly noteworthy, considering they have played fewer matches than several of their rivals. Their attacking creativity has been a major statistical highlight in the early stages of the campaign, despite them losing the latest ISL match to Chennaiyin FC.
Northeast United lead defensive Charge
Northeast United, on the other hand, have so far conceded the fewest goals with just two, as they have also secured joint-highest clean sheets with 3 in five matches. Kerala Blasters also have three clean sheets out of their 4 matches, but have conceded four goals in their other match so far. Apart from these two, seven others have just 1 clean sheet so far.
Inter Kashi, FC Goa, Churchill Brothers and Punjab FC are yet to manage a clean sheet so far in this ISL season.
