A gang is being searched for using fake signatures and stamps in the name of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. An FIR has been registered in this regard at Marine Drive Police Station. According to the information, in the last few days a dozen memoranda with fake signatures and stamps in the name of the CM have been deposited in the Chief Minister’s Office.
The help of CCTV footage is being taken to identify those who submitted the memorandum. The Chief Minister’s Office received a dozen such memorandums which had the Chief Minister’s signature and further action was ordered, whereas in reality Eknath Shinde had not signed any such memorandum.
FIR registered on Wednesday
After which the Chief Minister’s office became suspicious about these signatures, so they got it investigated and found out that the Chief Minister had never signed any such memorandum, nor had he ordered any action on that related issue.
After this, the desk officer of the Chief Minister’s Office complained about this matter to the Police Commissioner. Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered at Marine Drive Police Station against an unknown person for forging signature. It is learned that an FIR was registered in this matter at 7.30 pm on Wednesday night.
Is anyone from CM office involved?
An FIR has been registered against unknown persons under sections 420, 465, 471,473, 468 IPC. Apart from the signature, a fake stamp of the Chief Minister’s office was also used, which is being investigated.
It is being ascertained whether any insider was involved in this or an outsider perpetrated this fraud. Police are also identifying the people who submitted the memorandum. To find out who gave this memorandum to the Chief Minister’s Office, CCTV footage of people coming and going to the CM’s office is also being scrutinized.
