Diljit Dosanjh continues his Aura India Tour with his next concert in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on November 15, 2026. The Punjabi singer and his team faced some security challenges after authorities received security warnings and bomb threat emails were sent to three different schools. However, Dosanjh assured his fans via a social media video that he would not miss the show. Now comes word that after a complaint about the songs being harmful to children and others, four tracks will be barred from the concert, including the global hit Patiala Peg.
4 songs that promote liquor and violence banned from Diljit Dosanjh’s Indore concert
A Press Trust of India (PTI) report states that four songs, including Patiala Peg, 5 Tara Theke, Jeb Vicho Feem and Jatta Fire Karda, will not be allowed at the concert. Dr Punditrao Dharenavar of Chandigarh filed a complaint about the tracks, following which the District Child Protection Officer has sent the list to the concert venue manager. This is because children over the age of five are allowed to attend the concert; the step is to prevent the songs from having any harmful influence on the youngsters.
In the letter from the District Child Protection Officer to the venue manager, the July 2019 order from the Punjab and Haryana High Court was cited. It directed the police to make sure that songs that glorified liquor, wine and drugs and violence were not allowed at live shows to influence children.
The complainant also asked authorities not perform the four songs, even if the lyrics were altered. Dharenavar wanted a ban on inviting children up on the stage during the concert. Finally, he wanted the award-winning actor and singer to not be allowed to wear bandoliers, which are two crossed silver bullet belts made of dummy metallic silver cartridges, during his performance.
