Aadarsha Kutumbam: A Huge Loss for the Producer!

Aadarsha Kutumbam has completed six days of its theatrical run, and the film is now set to face fresh competition.

Ramayana: Part 1 arrives on Thursday, followed by Suriya’s Scene and Summer Holidays on Friday. With this, the film’s relatively uninterrupted run comes to an end.

Going by the current trend, the Venkatesh starrer is expected to wind up its theatrical run with a worldwide gross of around Rs 70 crore at best. This would result in substantial losses for the producer from the theatrical business.

Made on a budget of Rs 130 crore, Aadarsha Kutumbam secured a good non-theatrical deal.

However, its theatrical business was also significant, and the film needed to collect over Rs 100 crore to help recover the theatrical rights value. The producer is now staring at estimated losses of Rs 30-40 crore.

Producer S Radha Krishna does not make films regularly, unlike his nephew Naga Vamsi, who actively produces films under Sithara Entertainments.

Radha Krishna generally collaborates with Trivikram on his productions. His next project is expected to be NTR-Trivikram’s God of War, although that film is also facing uncertainty for various other reasons.

Industry insiders claim that Radha Krishna had anticipated a disappointing outcome for Aadarsha Kutumbam after watching the film much earlier and had prepared himself for substantial losses.
