Aigiri Nandini from Mahakali: A Powerful Devotional Rendition

The makers of Mahakali have begun the film’s musical promotions with the release of Aigiri Nandini, a devotional track that presents the divine power of Goddess Mahakali through music and visuals.

Inspired by the traditional hymn attributed to Sri Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya, the song combines devotional music with a grand cinematic presentation.

Composer Smaran Sai gives the familiar hymn a fresh musical treatment with rich orchestration, impressive instrumentation and energetic arrangements.

While retaining the devotional essence of the original composition, the new version adds a cinematic touch that enhances its overall impact.

The vocals by Anila Rajeev, Geetha Madhuri and Sai Charan are another highlight. Their energetic singing, supported by a strong chorus, adds intensity and emotion to the track.

The visuals feature Sriya Reddy as Goddess Mahakali in a striking multi-armed avatar. The traditional temple backdrop adds grandeur to the presentation.

Interestingly, the song also highlights the compassionate side of the goddess. A sequence showing Mahakali feeding a baby brings out her motherly nature, offering a gentle contrast to her fierce appearance.

Presented by RK Duggal and produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under the RKD Studios banner, Mahakali is the next instalment in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).

Directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on January 8, 2027, during the Sankranthi season.

With its devotional appeal, strong vocals and impressive visuals, Aigiri Nandini makes a promising start to the film’s musical promotions.
