A few setbacks can change the career of any actress in the film industry. When a film fails at the box office, the heroine often becomes an easy target for criticism. But actress Sreeleela seems to be moving ahead despite facing disappointing results in Telugu cinema.
The actress has delivered several successful films in Telugu including Dhamaka which gave her a major breakthrough. However, many of her recent films have failed to impress audiences at the box office. The actress got back to back flops yet she continues to receive exciting offers from Tamil cinema.
Interestingly the actress is now becoming part of some big projects with leading Tamil stars. Sreeleela made her Tamil debut with Parasakthi starring Sivakarthikeyan. She has also completed work on Om which features Dhanush and Mammootty in important roles. The makers recently introduced her character Roja through a special glimpse.
Now, she has joined another big project, Dharman, starring Superstar Rajinikanth. The makers officially announced her entry with a special video and welcomed her with the words, “She’s got the spark, she’s got the pataka.”
The film is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by Kamal Haasan. Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Simran, Rashi Khanna and Sreeleela coming together has created strong interest among movie lovers.
Adding to her growing Tamil lineup, Sreeleela is also part of Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film Daredevil, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The project was recently launched, and Sreeleela attended the event.
It is interesting to see how the actress is getting opportunities to work with some of the biggest stars in Tamil cinema even as her recent Telugu films have struggled at the box office.
Sreeleela has already proved her talent as a performer and dancer. It looks like Sreeleela golden period is yet to being in Kollywood.
Getting opportunities in films with Dhanush, Rajinikanth and Ajith Kumar even after a series of setbacks is certainly a big achievement. It shows that filmmakers still believe in her talent and screen presence.
Rather than allowing a few flops to affect her career, Sreeleela seems to be moving forward with some exciting projects. Her career is clearly far from over, and these Tamil films could give her a fresh start. If these movies become successful then Sreeleela may soon enter a new golden period in her career.
