Rakesh Vatte, who impressed audiences with his unique films and entertaining characters, comes with a new film Maya Lady. Directed by Prasankar, the film is produced by Rakesh Varre under Crazy Ants Productions and presented by V D Jagan Mohan Rao. It will hit theatres worldwide on November 13.
A simple search for love turns into an entertaining journey of unexpected twists in Maya Lady. The makers unveiled the film’s trailer today at a grand event, presenting an interesting mix of fun, madness, romantic complications and heartfelt emotions. With its unusual premise and lively presentation, the trailer creates curiosity about the surprises awaiting audiences.
Rakesh Varre plays Krish who wants to find the right girl to love and marry. He comes across Asha, played by Madhumitha Sarcar, and gradually develops feelings for her after being drawn to her character, energy and vibrant personality. But the story takes a different route with the introduction of Rupa, Asha’s twin sister. The sisters are complete opposites and do not like each other, setting the stage for a complicated situation in Krish’s life.
While the twin angle provides the film with its central conflict, the trailer also hints at an emotional layer beneath the comedy. Krish’s dilemma creates plenty of scope for entertaining situations, while the question of whom he ultimately marries keeps the curiosity alive. Rakesh Varre handles the different shades of his character with confidence, and Satya’s comic timing and punchlines bring an additional dose of laughter. The film also stars Indraja, Mysore Suresh and the other actors in key roles.
The background score by Vishal Chandrasekhar deserves special mention for enhancing the mood of the scenes and giving the trailer an energetic feel. Maya Lady appears to offer more than a conventional romantic comedy, with its twin-sister conflict, humour and emotional moments coming together in an engaging package.
