A Pianist Whose Secret Changes Everything
The story follows Akash, a talented pianist played by Ayushmann Khurrana. He pretends to be visually impaired, believing that the deception will help him concentrate on his music and bring him greater sympathy and tips from people around him.
His life takes a different direction when he meets Sophie, played by Radhika Apte. The two develop feelings for each other, and Akash’s routine begins to change. Around the same time, a retired film actor becomes impressed by his musical abilities after meeting him at a restaurant.
The actor invites Akash to perform at his home during a private concert. Akash accepts the opportunity, unaware that the visit will place him in the middle of a disturbing situation.
When he arrives, he encounters a shocking scene involving the actor’s murder. The situation becomes even more complicated when details about the actor’s wife’s extramarital relationship come into the picture. Akash suddenly finds himself connected to a crime and a series of secrets that could put him in danger.
How he responds to the situation, and what happens as the truth begins to emerge, forms the heart of the film. Revealing more would take away some of the surprises that make the story engaging.
Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte Lead the Cast

Sriram Raghavan directed the film, while the screenplay was written by Arijit Biswas, Yogesh Chandekar and Raghavan. The combination of a tightly constructed story and strong performances helped establish the movie as a notable Indian crime thriller.
Tabu’s character adds another layer of mystery to the plot, while Radhika Apte’s Sophie becomes an important part of Akash’s personal journey. The film balances its darker moments with humour, giving it a distinctive tone rather than following the structure of a conventional murder mystery.
