Jackie Shroff Extends Heartfelt Birthday Wishes to Tabu on Her 55th Birthday

Mumbai, November 4: Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff took to social media today to extend warm birthday greetings to his colleague, the acclaimed actress Tabu, as she celebrated her 55th birthday.

Shroff shared a candid picture featuring himself and Tabu seated together at a public event.

His birthday message was concise and affectionate, simply stating, ‘Happiness Always.’ To add a touch of nostalgia, Shroff incorporated ‘Boondon Se Baatein,’ a memorable song from Tabu’s 1999 film ‘Thakshak,’ as the background score for his post. The film, directed by Govind Nihalani, also starred Ajay Devgn and Rahul Bose.

Tabu, born Tabassum Fatima Hashmi, is the younger sister of actress Farah Naaz. She made her acting debut as a teenager in Dev Anand’s ‘Hum Naujawan’ and later gained prominence with films like ‘Vijaypath’ in 1994, opposite Ajay Devgn. Her illustrious career boasts critically acclaimed performances in movies such as ‘Maachis,’ ‘Virasat,’ ‘Chandni Bar,’ ‘Maqbool,’ ‘Drishyam,’ ‘Andhadhun,’ and ‘Crew.’

Shroff and Tabu have shared screen space in two films: ‘2001: Do Hazaar Ek,’ where Shroff played Inspector Anil Sharma and Tabu portrayed Billu, and ‘Kohram.’ Tabu’s remarkable contributions to Indian cinema have been recognized with two National Film Awards for Best Actress and the prestigious Padma Shri award. She has also made her mark internationally with roles in Mira Nair’s ‘The Namesake’ and Ang Lee’s ‘Life of Pi’.
