Taiwan’s big manufacturing company Foxconn has promised to invest Rs 15,000 crore in Tamil Nadu, which will provide 14,000 good jobs. Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Raja has given information about this while posting on X on Monday. He said that this is the biggest engineering jobs deal ever for Tamil Nadu and it is a big boost for the electronics and advanced manufacturing sector. Foxconn will bring value-added manufacturing, R&D and AI based technology operations in Tamil Nadu.
Industry Minister TRB Raja said that Foxconn’s India representative Robert Wu met Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin and expressed confidence in Tamil Nadu and talked about huge investment. Also, Tamil Nadu’s investment agency ‘Guidance’ will make Foxconn desk for the first time in India, which will make the work easier and faster. We are setting the stage for Dravidian Model 2.0.
This announcement came when Wu met Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah at his home ‘Kaveri’ in Bengaluru on Sunday. There was talk of increasing Foxconn’s presence in Karnataka and exploring new opportunities in manufacturing-technology. Foxconn has operations in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana.
