At the MP MSME Conference 2025, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav gave incentive amount of ₹197 crore to 700 MSME units and assistance of ₹1 crore to 83 startups. The conference laid emphasis on self-reliant India, innovation and employment generation.
Bhopal. The MSME Conference-2025 organized in a private hotel in the capital Bhopal brought a special opportunity for the entrepreneurs. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had a virtual interaction with entrepreneurs and startups on this occasion. He disbursed incentives worth over ₹197 crore to 700 MSME units through a single click and provided assistance of over ₹1 crore to 83 startups.
Each startup was given assistance of ₹1.20 lakh. Along with this, the Chief Minister distributed land allotment letters to 237 entrepreneurs and also gave checks of assistance amount to the beneficiaries under the Udyam Kranti Yojana. Sessions on startups, export promotion, indigenous products and self-reliant India were organized in the conference.
‘Industrialists are the real Kuberas of the country’- Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that industrialists are the ones who strengthen the country’s economy. Just as a farmer grows food in his fields and a soldier protects the borders, similarly industrialists improve the lives of thousands of families through their work.
He said, “We are now moving towards becoming not a golden bird, but a golden eagle.” Today the country is moving towards new heights with the resolve of Swadeshi and self-reliance.
The CM said that since 2014, the entire environment of the country has changed – there has been a huge improvement in railways, transport and infrastructure. Works worth more than ₹1.5 lakh crore are going on in Madhya Pradesh, and the state has also received approval for the fourth line of the railway.
Incentives, expansion of employment and opportunities to MSME units
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there is no dearth of talent in the state, the only need is to provide opportunities. He informed that plots have been allotted to 237 industrialists and incentives worth more than ₹197 crore have been given to 700 MSME units.
He said, ‘You go ahead, the government stands with you.’ 80% of the population of Madhya Pradesh is associated with MSME in some way or the other. This sector contributes more than 20% to the country’s GDP.
Giving an example, the Chief Minister said that ‘Lijjat Papad’, started by seven sisters of Jabalpur, is providing employment to lakhs of women today. Maheshwari sarees, Sharbati wheat of Sehore and Basmati rice of Raisen are now becoming international brands.
MSME Minister Chaitanya Kashyap said- ‘Madhya Pradesh has become the biggest center of entrepreneurs’
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Chaitanya Kashyap said that the MSME sector of the state is developing fastest under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Till August, incentive amount of about ₹ 200 crore has been distributed to entrepreneurs.
Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country where incentives are being given to entrepreneurs at such a rapid pace. 50% subsidy scheme has been started in the state, so that small traders can take advantage of exports. Kashyap said that “Subsidy provides support to an industrialist in his initial years, thereby strengthening the industry.”
He said that this year 1080 plots have been allotted to entrepreneurs and a target has been set to set up an industrial unit in every block. The state government is now also providing assistance of ₹ 10,000 per month for one year after startup approval so that new ideas can get off the ground.
Government’s focus towards promoting innovation and investment
Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Principal Secretary Raghavendra Kumar Singh said that the aim of the Chief Minister is that every youth should get employment and industries should get encouragement.
18 new industry based policies have been implemented in the state by February 2025. Earlier, there was a 46% incentive on MSME investment, which has now been increased to 50% flat incentive on investment up to ₹83 crore.
He informed that in the year 2024-25, the state government has given financial assistance of ₹ 2162 crore to 2500 units. Today an amount of about ₹ 200 crore is being given in the program. “Under the Udyam Kranti scheme, assistance worth ₹613 crore has been given, and land has been allotted to 820 units in the last 6 years,” he said.
Today, 237 new entrepreneurs were given land allotment letters, taking the number to more than 1100 units. There are more than 6000 startups operating in the state, out of which 2800 are led by women. Under the Startup Policy 2025, an amount of more than ₹1 crore has been distributed to 83 startups.
New era of investment and employment under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Madhya Pradesh government has implemented many new schemes to encourage industry, startups and investment. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav clarified that the state is now not only attracting investment, but is also moving towards providing employment to the local youth and creating indigenous brands.
MSME Conference-2025 proved that Madhya Pradesh is among the foremost states in carrying forward the mission of self-reliant India.
