Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha extended belated birthday wishes to Shah Rukh Khan, saying he deliberately waited a day because the superstar must have been flooded with greetings on his special day.
Calling SRK a “powerhouse”, Sinha wished him peace, prosperity and good health as he turned 61 on Monday. Sharing two unseen pictures with the actor on X, he wrote, “Intentional belated birthday wishes for @iamsrk you being the ‘powerhouse’, yesterday must have been a ‘housefull’. You are loved by all, most charming, charismatic, most iconic actor/star, wishing you great joy, peace, prosperity & long & healthy life ahead. God Bless! #BirthdayWishes (sic)”.
Shah Rukh celebrated his birthday by greeting fans outside his Mumbai bungalow, Mannat, in Bandra. Wearing a white T-shirt and denim, he struck his signature pose with one arm outstretched. Unlike previous years, however, he maintained a greater distance from the crowd amid concerns over the city’s law-and-order situation.
On his birthday, the makers of his upcoming film King released its first song, Tu Mil Jaaye, featuring Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone. The romantic track is sung by Arijit Singh and features Ed Sheeran’s rap style. It is composed by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by Kumaar.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma and Arshad Warsi. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 24 this year.
