Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas’ Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 (AK47) has suffered a major setback at the box office, witnessing a sharp drop in collections on its first Monday.
After a modest opening weekend, the film collected just Rs 3.40 crore net in India on Day 4, registering a massive 69.8% decline compared to Sunday’s Rs 11.25 crore.
The film was screened across 2,980 shows on Monday, compared to 3,271 shows on Sunday.
With this, AK47’s four-day India net collection stands at Rs 34.80 crore, while the domestic gross has reached Rs 40.80 crore.
Overseas, the film collected just Rs 75 lakh on Day 4, taking its cumulative international gross to Rs 14.85 crore.
The worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 55.65 crore in four days.
The steep Monday drop has raised concerns about the film’s box-office prospects, particularly considering its reported production budget of Rs 130 crore.
Although weekday collections are generally lower than weekend numbers, a nearly 70% decline is a worrying sign for a film carrying such high expectations.
Directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by S Radha Krishna under the Haarika & Hassine Creations banner, the film also features Yuvina Parthavi, Raja Prajwal, Nivetha Pethuraj and others.
Despite the star power of Venkatesh and Trivikram’s combination, AK47 has struggled to sustain its weekend momentum.
With just Rs 55.65 crore worldwide in four days and a sharp Monday crash, AK47 now faces a tough road ahead at the box office.
