Vishwak Sen Should Stick to Acting, Not Direction!

Vishwak Sen is one of the few actors who also dabble in writing and direction. He has directed three films so far, besides playing the lead role in all of them. However, the results of these films suggest that direction may not be his strongest skill.

His first directorial venture was Falaknuma Das, which was a box-office success. However, it was a remake of a Malayalam film, and he largely followed the original story and screenplay. His direction did not receive any exceptional appreciation.

His second directorial venture, Das Ka Dhamki, received negative reviews and ended up as a box-office failure.

His third attempt, Cult, hit theatres last weekend and turned out to be a disaster. The film received overwhelmingly negative reviews, with critics pointing out its boring and directionless narration, excessive gore and violence.

More shockingly, the film reportedly failed to gross even Rs 4 crore worldwide in its first three days.

Given this track record, many fans feel Vishwak Sen should stop directing films and concentrate on his acting career.

His acting has earned him recognition, but his directorial ventures have not delivered the results he would have hoped for.
