Kia has posted its highest monthly sales in October at 33,462 units overall. This is a rise of 13.22% year-on-year from 29,556 units sold in October 2025. It is important to note that this is also the second consecutive month of record numbers, beating September 2026’s previous high of 32,017 units. The ongoing strong demand during the festive period helped the automaker post these numbers. The Seltos and Sonet accounted for a significant share of volumes. The demand for CNG and EV powertrains was also on the rise.
Kia Seltos, Sonet Dominate October 2026 Sales
The Seltos was the major contributor to the of the previous month, with more than 13,000 units sold. Since its launch in January 2026, the SUV has maintained average monthly sales of over 10,000 units. The Sonet held its ground in the compact SUV segment. The Carens and Carens Clavis, on the other hand, garnered the attention of family car buyers. The also saw an encouraging customer response, driven by its hybrid powertrain and its technology and feature package.
The strong festive demand helped in record sales.
Kia Records Highest-Ever Monthly EV Sales
Kia has announced that it achieved its highest monthly EV sales to date in October this year, as the volumes rose by 31% month-on-month on the back of the Syros EV and Carens Clavis EV. The CNG variants of the Carens and Carens Clavis accounted for close to 10% of the total sales.
Kia India Sales Grow 21.31% in January-October 2026
Kia sold 2.86 lakh units between January and October 2026, showing a growth of 21.31% from the year-ago period. It crossed its full-year 2025 sales of 2.80 lakh units before the end of the current calendar year.
Commenting on the sales, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said, ”Surpassing our previous monthly sales record within just a month to achieve our highest-ever sales of 33,462 units in October reflects the growing trust customers place in Kia and the strength of our products.”
He also added ”The contribution of our CNG models to overall sales, alongside our highest-ever monthly EV sales, further demonstrates that our multi-powertrain strategy is translating into tangible results.”
