In Hyderabad, Amit Shah Dares Rahul Gandhi To Debate SIR In Parliament, Says Govt Ready For Special Session

In a blistering counterattack on the INDIA bloc, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday dared Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to debate on the issue of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the Parliament, saying that the government is ready to convene a special session.

Leading the BJP’s ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ padayatra in Hyderabad, Shah said: “Rahul holds the Constitution in hand, but doesn’t respect the Constitution. Rahul ji, you don’t allow Parliament to run. Be it EVMs, SIR, infiltrators, I challenge you from Hyderabad. We are ready to convene a special session of Parliament. Come for debate.”

Further, he said: “We will remove every infiltrator from the electoral rolls.” If a Parliament session is held, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will “shred Congress into pieces,” he said and accused the Congress of wishing to be in the limelight through anarchy.

“Rahul ji, if EVMs are faulty, how did your Revanth Reddy become Chief Minister? How did your government come to power in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh? If EVMs are so bad, you should not have taken the oath of office. When you win, the credit goes to the people, but when you lose, you blame the EVMs.”

Dismissing the INDIA bloc’s rally in Delhi on Sunday as a “save infiltrator” rally, he wondered how the Congress formed governments in states, including Telangana, “if the EVMs are bad,” and said that Rahul Gandhi can become Prime Minister only in mock Parliament.

Attacking CM Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in Telangana, Shah said, “Revanth Reddy ji, you have turned the entire Telangana into an ATM for the Congress leaders sitting in Delhi. The people of Telangana will never forgive you for this. Rahul ji had promised six guarantees. Not even one guarantee has been fulfilled.”

“Can the Congress party stop the corruption taking place in Telangana and the conspiracy to sell the state? Can Owaisi stop it? Can the BRS stop it? No. Only the Bharatiya Janata Party, under the leadership of Modi ji, can stop it.”

Amit Shah led the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ padaytra in Hyderabad. Shah led the foot march from the Babu Jagjivan Ram statue at Basheerbagh to the Mozamjahi Market. Earlier today, the Union Minister had accused the Congress of attempting to seize power through “anarchy” and “undermine democracy” after facing repeated electoral defeats. In a post on X, he said, “Citizens have braced themselves to shield our democracy from these attacks.”
