Adaani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Wednesday met the Communist Party General Secretary of Vietnam Tow Lam and committed to strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries. Adani also praised Tow Lam’s reforms and development plans and said that this would help Vietnam to become regional leaders in areas such as ports and energy.
Gautam Adani shared pictures of his meeting on the social media platform X and wrote that it was a privilege for him to meet Vietnam’s Communist Party General Secretary Tow Lam. He said that strengthening Vietnam in energy, logistics, ports and aviation sectors shows the vision and adventure decisions of Tow Lam. Adani said that her company is ready to contribute to Vietnam’s development journey and India-Vietnam to bring the economic partnership to a new height.

Steady Growth in India-Vietnam Trade
India and Vietnam have long been a strong business relationship. According to the FY 2025 data, bilateral trade between the two countries has risen to about $ 15.76 billion, which is 6.40% more than the previous year. In this, India exported goods worth $ 5.43 billion to Vietnam, while goods worth $ 10.33 billion were imported from Vietnam in India. Vietnam has now become the 20th largest trade partner in India and the 15th largest export market.
Embassy and Navy tour stronger
Recently, India’s Ambassador Sandeep Arya visited Tien Sa Port in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Indian Navy ships Delhi, Shakti and Kilton were also present at Da Nang Port. This has strengthened efforts to further strengthen maritime cooperation between the two countries in the Hind-Pacific region.
The tour shows India’s efforts to promote the rule-based, safe and inclusive maritime system in the Ocean Vision of India and the Hind-Pacific region.
Diplomatic relationship and strong
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also met the Vietnamese Prime Minister Fam Minh Chinese during the BRICS conference held at Rio de Janeiro. In January this year, Vietnam got the membership of BRICS, which has increased his global importance.
Relations between India and Vietnam have always been strong. During Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Vietnam in 2016, both countries extended their relationship with a strategic partnership to a comprehensive strategic partnership, which seem to be stronger now.
