During the promotions of the 2014 blockbuster ‘Happy New Year’ on the popular quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, superstar Shah Rukh Khan shared a hilarious anecdote involving Abhishek Bachchan and Vivaan Shah.
SRK revealed to host Amitabh Bachchan that director Farah Khan had approached him with a complaint about the two young actors.
Farah Khan was reportedly quite upset, stating that Abhishek and Vivaan were causing a lot of trouble on set, often distracted, chatting, and even taking her pictures to post on Twitter. She urged SRK to talk to them, saying, “Abhishek and Vivaan are troubling me a lot, so you go and talk to them.”
Initially, Shah Rukh tried to calm Farah, dismissing it as playful behavior from young actors: “No, Farah, they are just kids, it’s okay, it will pass.” However, when Farah insisted, SRK decided to intervene. As he prepared to reprimand them, a sudden realization struck him.
SRK recounted, “Sir, I went there with determination… I was about to start speaking, and then it hit me that Abhishek Bachchan’s father is Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Then it came to mind that Vivaan Shah’s father is Mr. Naseeruddin Shah. And then I thought, if their fathers couldn’t teach them, what could I possibly teach them?” This amusing insight led Shah Rukh to abandon his plan to scold them, highlighting the formidable legacy carried by both Abhishek and Vivaan.
