Mysterious Kali Temple of Bhagalpur… one step taken after drinking alcohol, blood starts coming out from nose and ears

Ancient Badi Kali Temple.

There is an ancient Badi Kali temple in Bhagalpur, Bihar. This temple is considered quite mysterious. The reason is the strange incidents happening here. According to the local people, whoever worships Maa Kali here with a true heart, his wishes are definitely fulfilled. But if someone enters the temple premises or steps on the stairs in a drunken state, he has to face some untoward incident. He falls ill mysteriously and the cause remains unclear even during treatment.

It is believed that if you reach your mother’s door drunk, you automatically get punished. There is a warning written at the entrance of the temple – entry into the court of Maa Kali in the state of alcohol or intoxication is completely prohibited. This temple is in Sardoh village, about five kilometers from Bhagalpur.

Blood starts coming out from nose and ears

Vinay Jha, a resident of the village, says that many times some people came to the temple after drinking alcohol and strange incidents happened with them. Someone suddenly started feeling dizzy and someone started bleeding from the nose and ears. Even doctors could not tell the reason for this. Since then everyone started believing that Mother Kali punishes those who get drunk. People say that before entering the temple, one should have darshan of the goddess with a pure mind and clean body. This is the reason why the atmosphere here is full of purity and reverence all the time. This belief is so deep that even the people of the surrounding villages do not dare to break this rule.

Preparations begin for grand Kali Puja, Sardoh immersed in reverence

The annual puja of Maa Kali will now be organized after just 10 days. The temple and the surrounding area are illuminated with festive lights. Artisans are busy day and night decorating the pavilion and archway. Shekhar Suman, who renovated the temple with his personal efforts, says that by the grace of the mother, today this temple has become more grand than before. This year, artists and pundits from many states of the country will participate in the puja. Also, famous singer of Bhojpuri cinema Chhaila Bihari will participate in the bhajan evening. Bhajan, kirtan and yagya will be organized for three days during the puja. The entire Sardoh village is busy in these preparations.

Faith in mother’s miracles

Many stories related to the temple are still alive on the tongues of the people here. A woman used to clean the temple every day and pray that her husband, who was in jail, should be released. After a few months he was released without any recommendation. In another incident, an old man of the locality prayed for the recovery of his ailing wife. He lit a lamp at the feet of his mother for 11 consecutive days and within a few days his wife became healthy.

The Big Kali Temple of Sardoh is not just a place of worship but a symbol of devotion and discipline. The belief here teaches people that in the court of the Goddess, only true devotion and not intoxication, pride or deceit are accepted. Therefore, when a devotee reaches Mother’s court, he has only one feeling in his mind – Mother, may your blessings always remain.
