Recognised for her notable performances across popular television shows such as Na Umra Ki Seema Ho and Vanshaj, actress Jinal Jain is all set to surprise her fans. She plays a prominent role in the upcoming film Junglywood, presented by Reliance Entertainment.
Directed by Chand Mohammad, Junglywood is a dark comedy and psychological thriller that strips away the superficial glamour of the entertainment industry to expose the raw ambitions, power dynamics, dark secrets, and complex inner workings behind the scenes. The film features a stellar ensemble cast including Shaan Grover, Akash Jagga, and Deepak Kalra, weaving a tense narrative filled with suspense and unexpected twists.
Transitioning from wholesome television characters to an edgy, multi-layered persona on the silver screen marked a major creative milestone for Jinal. Below, she shares her thoughts on breaking boundaries, collaborating with her co-star Deepak and the rest of the team, and embracing the unpredictable world of Junglywood. “The trailer of Junglywood offers a glimpse into a very intriguing, edgy, and unpredictable world. On playing Gauri and stepping out of her comfort zone, she says, “I play Gauri, and this project is particularly special to me because it allowed me to explore a completely different shade of myself as an actor. I’ve mostly been seen portraying sweet, innocent, girl-next-door and positive characters across television and web shows. With Junglywood, I got the opportunity to step out of that comfort zone and experiment with something different.”
Talking about the team and cast, Jinal says, “Sharing screen space with Shaan Grover, Akash Jagga, and Deepak was a wonderful experience. Deepak, in particular, was my co-actor, and I really enjoyed working with him. Director Chand Mohammad made the entire journey extremely comfortable and encouraging, allowing me to explore Gauri with confidence and bring a different dimension to my performance.”
