Ramayana, one of the most anticipated films of 2026, is just days away from its worldwide theatrical release. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi in key roles, the Nitesh Tiwari directorial is set for a grand Diwali release. Ahead of its global release, the makers hosted a special screening in Los Angeles. Pictures and videos from the event have since gone viral, winning hearts online. South star Yash attended the screening with his wife, Radhika Pandit, and his Ravana-themed brooch also grabbed attention. However, there’s another special detail from the Ramayana premiere in LA.
Ramayana Marks Yash’s Children Ayra And Yatharv’s First Film In Theatres
Yash’s children, Ayra and Yatharv, recently watched in a theatre in Los Angeles. This was their first time experiencing a film in a theatre. The special screening of Ramayana in Los Angeles reportedly marked this milestone. They got to watch their father portray the powerful and menacing King Ravana in the epic, also featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. The moment was extra special for Yash as it added a personal touch to the occasion.
Interestingly, the screening took place just ahead of Yatharv’s seventh birthday on October 30, 2026.
Details about their reaction to the film have not been shared.
Ramayana To Be Raha’s First Film
Interestingly, at Comic-Con earlier this year, Ranbir Kapoor had revealed that would also mark his daughter Raha’s first big-screen movie experience.
During a Q&A, an audience member said, “I want my children to know [Ramayana] so that they know more about our Indian mythology and cultural heritage.” Responding to the comment, RK said that he was looking forward to sharing the experience with his daughter. The actor, who plays Lord Rama in the mythological drama, revealed that he was excited to take his three-year-old to watch the film. “I’m very excited to take my daughter to the film. It is going to be her first film on the big screen,” he shared.
