Siddhant Issar Credits Father Puneet Issar for Shaping Acting Career, Discusses New Film ‘Lohitaksha’

Actor Siddhant Issar has openly acknowledged the profound influence of his father, veteran actor Puneet Issar, on his journey in the acting world.

He shared that he has been learning from his father since childhood, gaining invaluable guidance in areas like Hindi diction and speech, which he believes have given him a significant advantage in his profession.

Speaking about his recently released film ‘Lohitaksha’, Siddhant described his character as complex and dark. The film, released on October 23, delves into the negative impacts of social media, particularly on the younger generation. “‘Lohitaksha’ means the one who has blood in his eyes,” he explained, noting it’s a pioneering Hindi film set in Odisha. He plays both the protagonist and antagonist roles, portraying a character who is a traditional romantic, shuns social media, and expresses feelings through love letters.

Siddhant categorized ‘Lohitaksha’ as a psychological thriller, drawing parallels to the narrative styles of acclaimed films like ‘Drishyam’ and ‘Talaash’. He emphasized that the film is crafted with the Gen Z audience in mind, aiming to highlight how social media can fuel conflicts and misunderstandings. “We have exposed all that. I think Gen Z will connect and relate to the film,” he added.

Beyond his film roles, Siddhant has also garnered recognition for his live performances, having portrayed Lord Ram before large audiences and Lord Krishna in over 200 stage shows, including ‘Ramayan Bhaim’ and ‘Mahabharata’.
