#Cult Release Trailer Promises Bloodshed and Brutality

Vishwak Sen is coming back as a director with #Cult, a bloody, violent film being called India’s first slasher. The A-rated movie’s release trailer dropped just hours before its theatrical release. The trailer is full of stabs, cuts and chilling scenes, giving an idea of how brutal the content is going to be.

While the first trailer focused on the film’s premise and introduced the slasher elements at a party, the release trailer mainly focuses on Vishwak Sen’s character, DSP Sankalp Nayak. He refuses to tolerate locals in Goa troubling non-locals, especially Telugu people, and moves to Goa to protect them. The final portions of the trailer show his killing spree at the party.

The release trailer is packed with action and slasher elements. Vishwak Sen’s character looks ruthless, and his aggression suits the role. Interestingly, the slasher scenes have a stylised, almost cartoon-like look, so the violence doesn’t feel too disturbing. Murali Sharma plays a politician, while Srikanth Iyengar appears as a senior police official. Gayatri Bharadwaj and Tarak Ponnapa are also part of the cast.

Sandeep Kakarala is producing the movie under the Tarak Cinemas banner. Ravi Basrur is composing the music, and Tharun Bhascker has written the dialogues.
