Vishal is recovering from a back injury he sustained while filming an action sequence for his upcoming Tamil film Purushan in Goa. Known for performing action scenes in his films, the actor continued shooting despite experiencing pain after the incident. However, he was later advised to take three weeks of rest following a medical consultation. Vishal is currently treatment, with reports suggesting that his condition is gradually improving. His recovery has also left fans wondering about when he will return to the sets of the Sundar C directorial, which also stars Tamannaah Bhatia.
Vishal Advised Three Weeks Of Rest After Goa Accident
According to a report by Cinema Vikatan, the actor was injured during a fight scene choreographed by Kanal Kannan.
The injury occurred while was filming a fight sequence involving several fighters. Reports suggest that he completed the day’s shoot despite the discomfort and returned to work the following day, as the schedule was nearing its end. However, as the pain worsened, he consulted doctors, who recommended three weeks of rest.

The injury also reportedly halted Vishal’s plans from attending the Association general body meeting held on September 27. The actor has called the incident as an accident.
Vishal is now following medical advice and undergoing physiotherapy. His back pain is said to be easing, although he still needs rest before resuming physically demanding work. An official date for his return to the sets has not been announced.
Purushan Shoot Plans Await Vishal’s Recovery
The production team is expected to plan its upcoming schedule based on Vishal’s recovery. The next leg of filming is reportedly planned in Chennai, but the actor’s participation will depend on his health and his doctors’ advice. Given the action packed scenes in the film, his return to physically challenging sequences may take time.
Purushan reunites Vishal with director Sundar C following the success of their earlier collaboration, Madha Gaja Raja, which gained renewed attention after its theatrical release. In January, The film’s first-look teaser was unveiled online. In keeping with Sundar C’s style, Purushan appears to combine comedy, emotional moments and commercial action. Vishal plays the lead, while Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi has composed the music. Tamannaah Bhatia plays Vishal’s wife, with Yogi Babu in a supporting role.
The team has already filmed portions of the project in Chennai, Kolkata and Goa. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Vishal has started listening to scripts for his next project, with a possible announcement expected in the coming months.
