Volkswagen has a long-standing association with the Rock In Rio multi-day music festival held in Rio de Janeiro. Every time the brand is the official sponsor of the event, the launch of a new special edition is almost a given.

In 2026, the focus is on the T-Cross  , which is the topselling SUV in Brazil. The Rock In Rio special edition of the T-Cross will be showcased as the official car of the festival. The festival will be held from 4th September to 7th September and on the next weekend, from 11th September to 13th September.
