Abhishek Bajaj Turns Singer with ‘Sherdil’, Says It Was About Bringing a Vision to Life

Actor Abhishek Bajaj has ventured into singing with his latest project, ‘Sherdil’, a music video that he describes as the realization of a long-held vision.

Bajaj emphasized that this wasn’t merely about creating another music video but about bringing a unique concept to fruition.

Abhishek Bajaj was deeply involved in every aspect of ‘Sherdil’, from its direction and casting to performing as the singer himself, alongside managing the musical arrangements. He explained, “For me, Sherdil was never just about making a music video. It was about bringing a vision to life that had been in my mind for a long time.”

The idea for ‘Sherdil’ emerged after Bajaj connected with producers Prateek Sharma, Parth Shah, and Chakir Hussain, who expressed interest in a music video collaboration. This partnership allowed Bajaj to develop an “action musical experience that brings together poetry, action and a love story in a way we don’t often see in Indian music videos.”

The title ‘Sherdil’, meaning ‘lion-hearted’, aptly reflects the central theme: a character embodying both a fearless warrior and a passionate lover. The song features Abhishek Bajaj and Payal Rajput, with Bajaj sharing vocal duties with Hashmat Sultana Khan. Vivek Kar has composed the music. ‘Sherdil’, produced by The LSD music label, was released to audiences recently, marking Bajaj’s debut as a singer.
