Suresh Raina’s Wife Priyanka Urges Parents: Be Present, Prioritize Child Safety Over Phones

Mumbai: Priyanka Raina, wife of former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, has strongly advised parents to minimize phone usage when spending time with their children, emphasizing that child safety and parental presence are paramount.

Her comments came during Parineeti Chopra’s show ‘Mom Talks: Maa Ki Baat Maa Ke Jazbaat’.

Speaking to IANS, Priyanka highlighted the growing concern of parents being engrossed in social media, often at the expense of their children’s attention and safety. “Safety is foremost important. Being present is crucial for parents in day-to-day life. If there’s a safety concern, it’s unquestionable that you shouldn’t use your phone when you’re with your child because you’re setting an example. Children learn from that,” she stated.

She urged parents to keep their phones away when with their kids. Suresh Raina himself revealed that Priyanka is very strict about limiting screen time for their children. He also stressed the importance of fathers in parenting, stating, “Father is the roof of the house… and the bonding between parents is very important.” This conversation underscores the critical need for mindful parenting in the digital age, ensuring children receive undivided attention and a safe environment.
