When it cannot find issues to criticise the Prime Minister, it makes personal remarks,” he added.
Rao also said Kharge remarked on Modi’s father out of frustration. The Telangana BJP chief said Kharge commented on an event where more people were on stage than in the entire hall.
Kharge’s remark on Modi
The Telangana BJP president’s reaction came a day after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge remarked while addressing a gathering in Patna during the 139th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr Shri Krishna Singh.
In a video of the event, Kharge is heard responding to an audience member who said that Modi would not go anywhere. “Arey Modi ka baap bhi jayega (even Modi’s father will go),” he said.
Kharge also asked the audience whether they had received Rs 15 lakh in their bank accounts or whether two crore jobs had been generated, as promised by the Prime Minister.
