TCS AI Experience Zone London: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced that the company will create 5,000 new jobs in the UK over the next three years. Along with this, a new AI Experience Zone and Design Studio will also be opened in London. Its objective is to promote technology and innovation and create new opportunities for the youth. TCS has been operating in the UK for the last 50 years. The company contributed 3.3 billion pounds to the UK economy last year i.e. in 2024 and collected 780 million pounds in tax. This means that TCS paid an amount equivalent to the salaries of more than 20,400 teachers to the UK government.
UK Investment Minister Jason Stockwood visits TCS Mumbai campus
UK Investment Minister Jason Stockwood visited TCS’ Banyan Park campus in Mumbai. He teamed up with TCS and its leaders to launch an Oxford Economics report highlighting TCS’s contribution to the UK economy. Nick Mayes, principal analyst at industry analyst firm PAC, said TCS’ new investment plans make it a leader in digital services in the UK and will help it take advantage of new technologies including AI.
How many jobs are there now and how many will increase?
TCS is so far employing 42,700 people directly or through supply chain. Of these, 15,300 employees are working in technology sectors like engineering and data analytics. Now by adding 5,000 new jobs in the next three years, the company will increase more opportunities for the youth.
What is TCS’s AI Experience Zone and Design Studio?
TCS’s AI Experience Zone and Design Studio to be built in London is similar to TCS’s New York Design Studio. New technology, innovation and new ways of working with clients will be adopted here. The company will develop new projects and technologies in collaboration with startups, colleges and other companies.

TCS investment and skill development
TCS’ focus is not just on providing jobs. The company is also working on teaching skills to people in the fields of education, digital skills and STEM i.e. Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Under the ‘Partnering for Skills’ programme, more than 12,000 people will be prepared for new jobs. This will prepare the youth for STEM and digital jobs.
